What to do in Rocky Point?

 

There are several boat charter companies in rocky point.  You can charter a boat to bird island or take a fishing charter out to try your luck at deep sea fishing.  there are sail boats to rent or plenty of sunset cruises.  There are also jet ski rentals and parasailing.

 

Quad rentals.  You can cruise all over the sand dunes and in some places even on the city streets.  There are quad rentals all over town and reseverations are not necessary.

 

Rocky Point is famous for its fish and shrimp market.  Rocky Point has one of the largest shrimp boat fleets in all of the sea of cortez..  Buy some fresh shrimp, or clams at the fish market and take them back to your house or condo for a delectable feast.

 

There are many restaurants to choose from including, cuban, german, french, italian, pizza, sea food and yes mexican.  there is a even a burger king.

 

shopping can be found at the malecon area and an area called "Rodeo Drive"  it used to be a dirt road but the city just did a $4,000,000 renovation and there are dozens of curios shops to amuse you while you pass the time away.

 

Nightlife.  JJ's cantina, Capones and manny's are a few of the more famous restaurants and bars.

 

Go clamming on the beach in cholla bay.  In no time at all you can fill your bucket with clams.

 

beach combing.  From mannys about half way through las conchas you can find a lot of rocks at low tide that hold many mysteriesof the ocean.  it is easy to find live crabs and even octopus.

 

lay out on the beach , play beach volley ball, play bocci on the sand or football or frisbee.  fly a kite.
